Artist Statement
My name is Jamie Glennan (Jayme)
and I am 11 yrs old & in 6th grade. I live in California. As far
back as I can remember I have drawn. Mom teases that I was born
with a pencil in my hand. Kids are so mean today that I would
rather spend time drawing than with them. My nice older brother
has been an encouragement to me and gives me ideas sometimes about what
to draw. I love to draw because drawing gives me something of my
own.
Statement from Mom
She did some of these at age 9
& 10
She uses painter, photoshop and then we exported the pictures to put
into Pagemaker files so as to be able to write on them. She also uses a
drawing pad with pen, but prefers oddly enough to use the mouse to
create her projects.
