I am once again without an editor for the newsletter. So I will try and
let you in on some things that have been happening at CSW Kids Art
and on Artist Suburbia. We have three new kids artist with mini webs

MEET Amanda

Today I got the rare opportunity to meet a new and budding artist .Her
name is Amanda. Here are some of the questions I asked Amanda
- How old are you Amanda?
I am 14 yrs old.
- What grade are you in?
I am in 8th grade.
- What area of the country are you from?
I'm from SC.
- What Are your hobbies?
Amanda says her hobbies are (need you guess) Drawing
- Do you have a favorite subject in school ?
Yes I do. My favorite subject is math.
- How long have you been involved with your art work?
Ever since I was a little girl. I used to watch my mom draw
and this made me really want to do my own drawing.
- Who is your favorite artist in this field? Do you try to follow this
person's technique, or do you have your own special technique?
I don't really have a favorite artist. I try drawing my own
things. Made up things, like smiley faces.
- Do you have any exhibits on display?
Yes, I do they are on my moms
site. Mom hopes to make more.
- Are your pieces of art for sale?
No.
- Amanda, In your own mind, what is the best piece you've done?
I think my best piece is my drawing of a horse with a long tail.
- Are you taking art instruction from anyone? If you are, can you tell
us who is instructing you?
No I am not taking any art instruction from anyone.
Well, Amanda I have one final question for you.
- What is your favorite art medium to work with?
I use pencils and markers, they are my favorites.
